Ackland Art Museum
The Ackland features more than 18,000 works of art, including North Carolina’s premier collection of Asian art and works of art on paper (drawings, prints, and photographs), as well as significant collections of European masterworks, twentieth-century and contemporary art, and North Carolina pottery.
The Ackland offers training workshops for integrating its work into the classroom, sample lesson plans and activities, and advice for creating and integrating assignments featuring Ackland works.

BeAM & Kenan Science Library
BeAM is a network of makerspaces where you can design and create physical objects for education, research, entrepreneurship, and recreation. These objects might be created through 3D printing, laser cutting, sewing, and woodworking.
BeAM provides open studios, training sessions, workshops, hosted classes, and group activities.
Guided instruction for creating shapefiles and 3D printing can be provided at the Makerspace at Kenan Science Library.

Carolina Performing Arts
CPA curates in-depth artistic engagements that elicit active participation by audiences and expand the role of artists on UNC’s campus. Performances include music, dance, art installations, and more.
CPA offers Arts@TheCore, which allows instructors and students to participate in conversations with artists and faculty members and connect with the arts through the history, literature, philosophy, or science associated with upcoming performances.
Additionally, Arts@The Core faculty seminars explore the pedagogy behind incorporating performances into the academic curriculum, and CPA offers support for incorporating performances into courses.

Davis Library
Davis Library hosts the majority of texts for humanities, social science, business, and foreign languages in addition to maps, government information, and data collections.
Davis Library offers specialized assistance through research consultations to help researchers discover new sources and find answers to questions. Additionally, Davis Library can help acquire materials not currently in the collections.
Design Lab
The Design Lab focuses on teaching digital design for genres such as presentations, magazines, websites, posters, and inforgraphics. They offer SkillfUL workshops that teach digital design software and concepts including HTML, Photoshop, InDesign, Excel, and others.
The Design Lab assists with incorporating and creating media assignments into new or existing courses.

Digital Innovation Lab
The DIL is part of Carolina Digital Humanities, a set of partnerships and programs that promote innovation, interdisciplinary connections, and collaboration around digital teaching, research, and outreach in the arts and humanities.
The DIL offers Wednesday workshops from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. that showcase public engagement with digital humanities, projects by digital humanists, innovative pedagogical approaches to digital humanities, and more.

Media Resources Center
The MRC acquires films for viewing, rents audio and visual equipment for projects and student assignments, provides recording spaces, offers audiobooks and films online, and provides tutorials for equipment, media production software, and animation software.
The MRC offers support for creating and integrating assignments with components including audio, visuals, and media publications.

Playmakers Repertory Company
Playmakers is UNC’s professional theatre in residence. Their programming includes drama as well as post-show discussions that offer audience members a chance to join actors, artists, or thought leaders for a conversation about the productions right after the show.
Playmakers provides support for creating and integrating assignments focused on their performances and discussions.

Research Hub
The Research Hub provides spaces, technology, and expertise to assist with all phases of research.
Locations include the Kenan Science Library, Health Sciences Library, and Davis Library. Each location offers a technology-enabled environment in addition to tailored assistance from skilled librarians, technology specialists, and campus partners.

SkillfUL Tech Workshops
The SkillfUL workshop series offers free tech and design classes to students, faculty, and staff. Come learn a new skill and get hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress and a few more tools. We’ll be joined by our friends from the Media Resources Center, BeAM, and the Learning Center.
Undergraduate Library
The UL provides classroom instruction to first-year writing students about information literacy, digital projects and design, and Special Collections.
Information literacy subjects include topic selection, exploring concepts through keywords, navigating subject-specific databases, using sources to accomplish a specific task, and citing sources. Digital projects and design topics include website creation, video editing, photo editing, design aesthetics, presentation creation, print document creation, and infographics. Special Collections instruction teaches students how to work with rare materials in the Wilson Library.

Wilson Library
Wilson Special Collections Library is home to the University’s North Carolina Collection, Rare Book Collection, Southern Folklife Collection, Southern Historical Collection, and University Archives and Records Management Services.
Wilson Library provides guided instructions to classes on how to use the Special Collections, which hold unique and rare books, organizational records, personal and family papers, photographs, moving images, sound recordings, and artifacts that document the history and culture of the University, the state, the region, the nation, and the world.
